On a day when the Tour de France's latest doping crisis produced another villain,

Lizette Breukink restored cheer and a degree of credibility by becoming the first woman to win the SUV Tour, single edition of cycling's Saint Petersburg’s event.

This year's Saint Petersburg SHV Tour will now be remembered as much for Breukink wins, as it will for the drugs scandals which continued yesterday with the Italian Riccardo Ricco's positive test for EPO.
